IPTV on Mac

To watch IPTV Pro on a Mac, install any macOS IPTV player and enter the M3U URL or Xtream Codes login we email you. It works the same on Apple silicon and Intel, and the same details work on your other devices.

The Mac build is notarised by Apple, which means macOS has checked it for known malware and it opens without any Gatekeeper workaround. If a download of “IPTV Pro for Mac” asks you to right-click and open, or to run a terminal command to bypass Gatekeeper, it did not come from us.

How to set up IPTV Pro

Step 1 — Order a line or start the free trial

Your details arrive by email and work on every device you own.

Step 2 — Install a macOS IPTV player

Choose one distributed through the App Store or notarised by Apple. If a download tells you to right-click to open, or to run a terminal command to bypass Gatekeeper, pick a different app.

Step 3 — Enter your login details

Paste the M3U URL, or use the Xtream host, username and password fields.

Step 4 — Check the decoder

Apple silicon decodes HEVC on the media engine and stays cool. An Intel Mac older than 2017 has no hardware HEVC path and will spin its fans on 4K.

Fixing common Mac IPTV problems

Fans spin up on 4K streams

On an Intel Mac older than 2017 there is no hardware HEVC path, so decoding runs on the CPU. Open the stats overlay with Cmd+I and check the decoder line. Apple silicon Macs decode HEVC on the media engine and stay cool.

The display sleeps mid-programme

Players assert a display-sleep block during playback, but a configuration profile from an employer can override it. Check for a managed energy profile in System Settings before assuming the app is at fault.

Recordings will not write to an external drive

macOS gates access to removable volumes. Grant IPTV Pro Files and Folders → Removable Volumes in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Note that a drive formatted NTFS is read-only on macOS without third-party software.

Colours look oversaturated on an external monitor

A colour-profile mismatch, not a decoding fault. Set the display profile to the monitor’s own sRGB profile rather than a wide-gamut preset in System Settings → Displays → Colour Profile.

Questions about this device

Is there an IPTV Pro app for Mac?

No. Use any macOS IPTV player from the App Store or one notarised by Apple, and enter the details we send you. If a download tells you to bypass Gatekeeper, choose a different app.

Why do the fans spin up on 4K streams?

On an Intel Mac older than 2017 there is no hardware HEVC decode path, so decoding runs on the CPU. Apple silicon Macs decode HEVC on the media engine and stay cool.

Does IPTV Pro include the app as well?

No, and you do not need it to. Your subscription is a login — an M3U URL or Xtream Codes details — that works in any mainstream IPTV player from your device’s own store. Choosing and installing one is part of the setup help we give you.

What if I cannot get it working?

Message us on WhatsApp at +44 7475 498002 with the device you are on and what you are seeing. We will walk you through it until channels are playing. That help is included on the free trial as well as on paid plans.

Can I watch on this device and another at the same time?

You can install your details on as many devices as you like, but one line plays one stream at a time. For simultaneous viewing on two screens, order a second line.
