IPTV on Android

To watch IPTV Pro on an Android phone or tablet, install an IPTV player from Google Play and enter the M3U URL or Xtream Codes login we email you. Android is the quickest way to test a new line before setting up a television.

Android is the platform where an IPTV app is most useful away from a television, and it is also where the most dubious APKs circulate. IPTV Pro is distributed through Google Play only. If you find an APK claiming to be our app on a file-sharing site, it is not ours and we cannot tell you what is in it.

How to set up IPTV Pro

Step 1 — Order a line or start the free trial

Details arrive by email within minutes on a trial.

Step 2 — Install a player from Google Play

Stick to Google Play. APKs from file-sharing sites are the main way people end up with adware in this category, and you gain nothing from them.

Step 3 — Enter your login details

Paste the M3U URL straight from the clipboard, or use the Xtream fields. This is the fastest device to set up, which is why it is worth testing a new line here first.

Step 4 — Turn on picture-in-picture

Most Android players keep playing in a floating window when you swipe home, once you grant Display over other apps.

Fixing common Android IPTV problems

Playback stops when the screen locks

Aggressive battery optimisation, which is far more heavy-handed on Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus and Huawei than on stock Android. Exclude your IPTV player from battery optimisation in the system settings; on Xiaomi you also need to lock the app in the recents view.

Streams work on Wi-Fi but not on mobile data

Either the app is restricted from background data, or you are already streaming on another device — one line plays one stream at a time. Check Data usage in the system settings first, then close the app elsewhere.

Chromecast shows a black screen

Chromecast cannot receive every codec the phone can decode. Casting works reliably with H.264; HEVC needs a Chromecast Ultra or a Google TV device. Where the target cannot decode the stream you get a black picture rather than an error, which is why testing on the phone first is worth doing.

The channel list is slow to open on an older phone

A large M3U is parsed in full each time it refreshes. Switch to Xtream Codes if your provider offers it, or set the playlist to refresh daily instead of at every launch under Settings → Playlists.

Questions about this device

Is there an official IPTV Pro APK?

No. We do not publish an app, so any APK claiming to be ours is not. Install a player from Google Play and enter the details we send you — APKs from file-sharing sites are how people pick up adware in this category.

Why does playback stop when the screen locks?

Battery optimisation, which is far more aggressive on Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus and Huawei than on stock Android. Exclude your IPTV player from battery optimisation in the system settings.

Does IPTV Pro include the app as well?

No, and you do not need it to. Your subscription is a login — an M3U URL or Xtream Codes details — that works in any mainstream IPTV player from your device’s own store. Choosing and installing one is part of the setup help we give you.

What if I cannot get it working?

Message us on WhatsApp at +44 7475 498002 with the device you are on and what you are seeing. We will walk you through it until channels are playing. That help is included on the free trial as well as on paid plans.

Can I watch on this device and another at the same time?

You can install your details on as many devices as you like, but one line plays one stream at a time. For simultaneous viewing on two screens, order a second line.
