Unreviewed draft — get advice on this one first
- This is the policy that matters most for a service that transmits television content, and it is the one you should least rely on a draft for. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
- The question underneath it — what rights you hold for what you carry — is a business question, not a drafting one. Take advice on it before this page goes live.
If you hold rights in content you believe is being carried on this service without authorisation, send a notice to the address below. We will act on properly made notices, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
1. Where to send a notice
2. What to include
- Your contact details, and who you act for.
- Identification of the work concerned.
- Identification of what you say is unauthorised, specific enough for us to locate it — the channel or title name as it appears on the service.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act.
- Your signature.
3. What we do with it
We acknowledge notices, investigate what is being carried, and remove or disable access to anything we are not entitled to carry. Where a notice concerns an upstream source we also raise it with that supplier.
4. Counter-notice
If your subscription or reseller panel was suspended following a notice and you believe that was a mistake, write to the same address identifying what was disabled and why you believe the action was wrong.
5. Repeat infringers
We terminate the subscriptions and reseller agreements of repeat infringers, including customers who redistribute or restream the service in breach of our Acceptable Use Policy.
